GradConn was established in 2003 in Taiwan with facilities in the UK and is part of the Aloco Group of companies. We are an electronic interconnect company supplying components to a client base of global blue-chip OEM’s and CEM’s both direct & through our distribution partners.

Our market leading product is the “Nautilus” range of waterproof RF connectors. Combined with, amongst others, leading edge micro coax connector products from I-Pex, we are providing unique solutions to design engineers globally. These are complimented by a range of SIM card & Board to Board PCB connectors.

Product Manager

We aim to be best in class in the products and customer service we supply. This ethos has resulted in continual growth and has created a new position of Product Manager reporting to the Group Product Manager.

The successful candidate will join a small friendly team assisting the Group Product Manager to deliver a steady stream of new products whilst also providing technical support to our global sales team & distribution partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the NPI process.
  • Offering technical support to our customers, sales teams and distribution network, often in a live meeting environment.
  • Compiling product related data prior to product launch.
  • Assist with creating the NPI sales presentations & Training materials.
  • Assist with the creation of sales tools.
  • Competitor studies to ensure our pricing & product features remain competitive and that we launch products at an appropriate price point for guaranteed success.
  • Manage competitor cross reference library.
  • Analysing market trends.
  • Tracking competitors’ activities.
  • Analysing and reporting on product sales performance.
  • Lost business analysis to identify product weakness.
  • Evaluation & recommending improvements to our distribution partners.
  • Assisting with product lifecycle management.
  • Administration of legislative and compliance information and surveys relating to the electronics industry.
  • Assisting with price list maintenance.

This position requires some formal knowledge or experience in RF engineering. The candidate will have an interest in technology, and a thirst for learning, without any fear of exploring new areas of expertise with independent learning. Training will be given on all our products and systems.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Formal engineering or technical qualifications.
  • Background in RF/Coaxial products and wireless modules.
  • Great communication skills essential.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Customer facing experience is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A high degree of personal initiative & an ability and willingness to learn
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • We also use Salesforce CRM. Training will be given if no prior knowledge exists.

This is an exciting office-based position in Welwyn Garden City and would suit someone who is looking to move from an engineering role into a product, sales and marketing environment. This is a multi-disciplined role working alongside all aspects of the business including marketing sales and operations teams.
