About Hirose U.FL series
GradConn offer a selection of cable assemblies including the Hirose U.FL connector. The most popular choices are for the opposite end of the Hirose RF cable assembly are SMA female or FME male bulkhead connectors. This allows customers to mount the SMA or FME interface connectors to a bulkhead with a cut out and plug in a antenna or further extension cable on the other side of the bulkhead. Mated height: 1.9mm or 2.4mm (max 2.0 or 2.5mm).
PCB occupied area: 7.7 sq.mm.
Light weight: Receptacle: 15.7mg.
Right angle plug: 59.1mg.
High frequency transmission: Up to 6GHz. V.S.W.R.: 1.3 to 1.5 max., from DC to 3GHz.
Impedance (ohm): 50
Tactile lock feeling confirms fully mated condition.
Simple mating and un-mating: Tools are available from Hirose distributors.
Temperature range: -40 to 90 degrees centigrade.
Centre Conductor Plating: Gold
PCB mount type: SMT
Applications: Mobile phones, PHS, Radio communications equipment, Measurement equipment, GPS, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and any other application requiring high frequency transmission using small coaxial connectors.
As an alternative to Hirose UFL GradConn offer the I-Pex MHF range. The MHF is a high quality and economical connector is intermatable with Hirose U.FL. This means a customer can plug an I-PEX MHF cable assembly into a Hirose PCB connector. Customer’s should test samples to approve the use of I-Pex, however GradConn have many satisfied customers after swapping from Hirose.
